I designed this cowgirl baby shower for my sister in celebration of her first baby. We served yummy food for this sit-down affair and arranged sweet flower bouquets in green apples at each place setting, because horses love apples. We displayed a saddle from the family stable and created an over-the-top sweets and treats station, complete with cupcakes hanging from the ceiling in a dangling cupcake holder. All the fondant pieces were custom-made and the rest of the sweets were made by me or ordered from our local bakery, the Cupcake Shop. We didn’t play many shower games, but we opened gifts, created a special chair for the mom-to-be and enjoyed each other’s company. This party will always have a place in my heart since my sister cried when she walked in. As a party planner, transforming a space into a wonderland to create emotion and memories is what it’s all about.
