Make your holiday party sparkle with a dazzling display of sips and sweets, brought to you by Lindt.
Stock your bar with a selection of sparkling wine and Champagne (check out all your options with our Champagne 101 buying guide). Offer add-ins so guests can mix it up — just print recipes and frame them so everyone can play bartender.
Start with a classic Champagne cocktail: Drop a sugar cube in a glass, add two dashes of bitters and fill with Champagne, then garnish with a lemon twist.
Pink grapefruit juice offers a fresh take on mimosas. Add flavor and color with rosemary sprigs and pomegranate seeds as seasonal garnishes.
Create a glam Champagne tower by stacking glasses on top of each other and pouring — just serve right away so the bubbly stays cold. Old-fashioned coupe glasses add charm, but you can also use Champagne flutes, wine glasses or even juice glasses. If you don’t have enough glasses (or just don’t want to wash them all after the party), you can rent Champagne glasses from party rental houses for under $1 a glass.
Put bottles of bubbly in ice buckets so they stay cold. Tip: To chill a room-temperature bottle, fill an ice bucket halfway, then add a little water and the bottle; it should get cold within 10 minutes. Don’t have an ice bucket? Use a large vase or serving bowl.
We also created a gorgeous (and delicious!) truffle tree centerpiece with Lindt Gourmet Truffles: Just use a toothpick to secure the bottom of each truffle to a Styrofoam cone.
Fill glass cylinder vases with colorfully wrapped chocolates (such as the Lindt LINDOR Truffles shown here) to tempt guests.
A rich chocolate cake gets even more decadent when it’s topped with truffles (such as these Lindt Gourmet Truffles).
Set out homemade sweet treats, such as mini cupcakes and peppermint bark, on tiered stands to add dimension.
Buy a couple of yards of gold sequined or lamé fabric from a fabric store and hang it as an elegant backdrop. (You can also use it as a tablecloth, but note that sequined and lamé fabrics are delicate and may require hand-washing.)
Do up your dessert table by adding fresh holiday-themed accents, such as an evergreen garland and red roses, to complement your spread. We also used red cockscomb and baby’s breath to set off the greenery.
Let guests indulge at the party, then send everyone home with a sweet chocolate treat as a thank-you.
