Ingredients:
- 8 tbsp. (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 5/12 cups of milk
- ½ cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. of salt
- ¼ tsp. of ground nutmeg
- ¼ tsp. of cayenne pepper
- 4 ½ cups of grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 cups of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 pound of elbow macaroni
- Cooked lobster
Directions:
Step 1: Warm the milk in a medium saucepan. Add butter in the milk and let melt. Stir.
Step 2: Add flour to thicken mixture. Cook, stirring, for 1-2 minutes.
Step 3: While whisking, slowly pour milk in, a little at a time, to keep mixture smooth. Continue cooking, whisking, for 8-12 minutes or until mixture becomes thick.
Step 4: Remove the pan from the heat. Stir in nutmeg, black pepper, cayenne pepper, 3 cups cheddar cheese, 1 cup of Parmesan cheese.
Step 5: Cover a large pot of salted water and bring to boil. Cook macaroni until the pasta is cooked.
Step 6: Transfer the macaroni into a colander and rinse under cold, running water. Drain well.
Step 7: Add cheese sauce to macaroni.
Step 8: Top with remaining cheeses and continue serving.
Step 9: Add cooked lobster.
Step 10: On a heated skillet, place a piece of bread, buttered-side down on the skillet.
Step 11: Add two slices of American cheese to skillet and let cook.
Step 12: Add mac n’ cheese on the bread.
Step 13: Add another slice of bread, buttered-side up.
Step 14: Cook and then flip.
Step 15: Cook the remaining side and then serve.
