Planning a surprise party for the birthday boy or girl in your life? Make this extra-large birthday surprise box with a special surprise inside. Paint the box in the birthday boy or girl’s favorite color (you can find a large box at any home improvement store) then use sticker letters to spell out a fun saying. Blow up some mylar balloons, stuff them inside the box (you can even add confetti, candy, toys or little treats if you want too), then wrap up the box with a big bow so it looks like a present. Wait for them to open the box, then watch the balloons pop out! Watch the video below to get the how-to, then follow the directions below to make your own birthday surprise box.
Materials:
- Large box
- Mylar balloons
- Helium tank
- Ribbon
- Bow
- Scissors
- Paint
- Paintbrush
- Tape
- Confetti
- Gold letter stickers
Directions:
Step 1: Paint the box and let dry.
Step 2: Adhere letter stickers to the front of the box.
Step 3: Blow up balloons using helium tank and tie with ribbon.
Step 4: Gather balloons in a bunch and tape to the bottom of the box, leaving enough string for them to pop out of the box. Add confetti the bottom of the box.
Step 5: Gently push balloons into the box and secure with a large ribbon or bow. Leave on someone’s doorstep with a special note or bring to a birthday party, then wait for them to open for a special birthday surprise inside.
