These DIY Temporary Tattoos Are the Perfect Summer Accessory

Whether you’re on your way to a music festival, planning to spend the weekend at a bachelorette party or you just want to add a pop of color to your summer wardrobe, try out your own temporary tattoo sleeve for the weekend. Turn this summer’s biggest trends into tattoos of your own with just a computer and printer. We made tattoos in the shape of donuts, flamingos, martinis and more. Watch the video below to get the how-to.

Materials:

Directions:

Step 1: Make your design on a computer. We pulled inspiration from some of our favorite Evite invitations here and here

  • Tip: You can pull a design from anywhere. It can be a photo, a Google image, or part of an Evite invitation. The possibilities are endless!
  • Tip: Make sure your design has a transparent background. The tattoo sheets are clear, but keep in mind that whatever you print will be your tattoo design (including the background).

Step 2: Print your designs on a printable temporary tattoo sheet (found online or in most craft stores).

  • Tip: Make sure your printable temporary tattoo sheet corresponds with the type of printer you have (i.e. inkjet or laser).

Step 3: Add the clear adhesive sheet, making sure to smooth out any air bubbles.

Step 4: Cut out tattoos.

Step 5: Remove the clear adhesive sheet, position tattoo (design side facing down), wet a sponge or paper towel and gently press wet sponge on the tattoo to adhere. Leave wet sponge on the tattoo for about 30 seconds to make sure the design transfers completely.

Start planning your next party by sending the free Evite invitation below.
