Red roses are so last year. Take a break from tradition by making your own bacon bouquets, perfect for any occasion from birthdays to bridal showers to Valentine’s Day. Watch the video to get the how-to below.
Materials:
- (6) Packages thick cut bacon (Approx. 72 slices)
- (1) small/medium vase
- Roasting Pan
- Roasting Rack
- (2) Wooden Cutting Boards
- Toothpicks
- Thick stemmed rosemary
- Basil
- Dill
Directions:
Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Step 2: Roll bacon into buds.
Step 3: Pull the edges of the outer layer of bacon down a bit to create the appearance of a petal.
Step 4: Place on the roasting rack inside the roasting pan.
Step 5: Cook for 20 minutes or until crispy.
Step 6: Allow bacon buds to cool completely.
Step 7: Place each bud on a thick rosemary stem, making sure the tip of the stem does not stick out of the bud.
Step 8: Create your bacon-based floral arrangement in a vase of your choice, using remaining rosemary, dill and basil to decorate.
