To make sure the mom-to-be’s baby arrived in high style, we planned a gathering that was filled with pink, pink, and more pink!

A bright and cheerful cardstock banner monogramed with the baby’s name in stick-on letters was fashioned with rickrack trim and rose-colored ribbon. The blossoms and banner went straight to the baby’s nursery for chic decor!

A bright and whimsical wagon design by Amanda Schlumberger was the theme throughout the party and featured printed stickers adorning the jars of candy and the punch. Given the mom-to-be’s sweet tooth, we thought a candy bar would be so much fun! Here, clear glass vessels collected over the years were used to hold the candies. Wagon-adorned stickers with ribbons made perfect labels.

The sweets were by far so pretty and so delicious! Exquisite petal cupcakes were ordered from Georgetown Cupcake. When planning a party for a crowd, you can’t do it all, so go to the experts!

“Porter Punch,” named after the baby Porter, was a huge hit. The pink-toned libation (made with rose Champagne, St. Germain liqueur, sparkling pink lemonade and passion fruit nectar) was light and refreshing. Set on a bed of pink tulle with a backdrop of pink blooming branches, it made for a festive bar! For the non-imbibers and little people at the party, sparkling pink lemonade served in a drink dispenser, with a side of pretty striped straws, gave these mocktails a sweet finish.

The main gift was a pink “Porter wagon” and it made a big impression when I wheeled it out! Porter’s nameplate painted with some whimsical pink roses — and finished with pink ribbon — was an easy DIY that added a long-lasting personal touch.
