Inspired by the Tuxedo Party Box from Eden Celebrations, this party features a chic, classic black-and-white color palette and gold glitter for that extra Hollywood touch. We really wanted the party to feel sophisticated enough for the stars but also entertaining for your friends, so we mixed a lot of glamorous details with fun treats.
What we love about this awards show party is that anyone can do it. One of our favorite DIY details: the giant balloons with calligraphy writing. Giant balloons are trending right now and go beautifully with any party, but they can be expensive to fill up with helium. Instead, blow up the balloons yourself and hang them from the ceiling. They’ll still create that wonderful floating look, but at almost no cost to you. The gold calligraphy writing on the balloons is actually vellum — we used a cutting machine to cut out the words and then transferred them onto the balloons.
All of the treats are DIY, too, except for the amazing caramel apples that Roni’s Sugar Creations made for our party. We wanted quick treats that were not only easy to make but also easy to eat! Other goodies included chocolate-drizzled popcorn with gold chocolates, mini milkshakes and bite-sized brownie bites.
