This chic and stylish party was created for my husband’s birthday using this beautiful Premium Evite invitation for inspiration! I used the geometric design of triangles in shades of navy, coral, teal and gold featured on the invitation as the basis for my decor. The cake design picked up on both the invitation itself as well as the interior of the envelope. I hand-made paper bunting to echo the invitation’s triangles and hung them in swags in all the windows and doorways to add a festive flair to the party space. I made a few birthday signs with the same paper using a die-cutting machine to make it easy. I also decorated with paper lanterns and giant paper fans found at Ikea. Using leftover scrapbooking paper, I punched circles of assorted sizes to create custom confetti, which coordinated with my theme and was easy to clean up. Color-coordinated balloons were the final touch, because birthdays and balloons are such a perfect pairing! Our guests loved the decorations — especially the special cake!
