For this party, I took inspiration from the beautiful and sunny region of Tuscany, Italy. I kept the tablescape fairly simple, decorating with vases of bright sunflowers, greenery and fresh lemons, oranges and limes. Since I knew we would have a lot of food coming, I kept the dining room table elegant and uncluttered. I used a wooden crate as a centerpiece and placed a gold cupcake stand filled with cake pops on top.

One of my easy DIYs for this party: green-tinted wine glasses from the dollar store, filled with bunches of sunflowers and embellished with a beaded garland! I love limoncello, a popular lemon liqueur produced in Southern Italy. I’ve made my own limoncello and I have to say, it’s pretty darn good — be sure to send guests home with a homemade serving. I also created a signature cocktail, “Bacio del Limone” (or “Lemon Kiss”), a very simple recipe using limoncello and Prosecco.
I used this theme for my annual Favorite Things party. One of my favorite things about a Favorite Things party is bringing together friends, family and sorority sisters I don’t otherwise get to see often. Guests bring their “favorite things” and place them on the gift table, then each guest picks five different names from a jar and everyone goes home with five new favorite things!
