Ready to host a Home Bowl Party at your place but don’t know how to mesh your style with jerseys and other football gear? We are sharing a few tips on how to throw a Modern Home Bowl Party that doesn’t skimp on style, brought to you by Coca-Cola® and NABISCO.

Modern Home Bowl Party: Invitation

First, start inviting your friends and family to a Home Bowl party of your own with the free EVITE invitation below or another one from the Home Bowl collection.

Modern Home Bowl Party: Food and Drinks

Stock the buffet with a cheeseboard complete with a variety of cheeses, fruits, nuts and crackers, like RITZ Crackers and TRISCUIT Crackers. Finger sandwiches and Coca-Cola® bottles displayed on cake stands bring some height to the table while making them easy to grab. Gold napkin rings and your favorite mascots, also painted gold, give the display a glam touch.

Modern Home Bowl Party: Decorations

To highlight your own personal style and make it a modern Home Bowl party, feel free to bring out the good stuff! Wood serving boards, fabric napkins, glassware and a few festive decorations like patterned straws, a pennant flag banner and a chalkboard bring just enough football to the party while elevating it to a special event.

Set the stage for the party with a chalkboard focal point. We hung a large chalkboard and designed a graphic backdrop with some X’s and O’s, which gives a nod to a football play. Below the chalkboard we set up the food, including NABISCO products — buffet style — and drinks, like Coca-Cola®, so that guests can fix a plate or linger over during commercial breaks.

Modern Home Bowl Party: Guest DIY

Skip the football jerseys and get your guests to make their own T-shirts with a fun pregame DIY. Have your guests come up with a few words that reflect their view on the game and turn those lines into T-shirts in just a few easy steps. I made mine say “I came for the food”. Check out the video below to make the T-shirts!

Materials:

  • Printable iron-on transfer
  • Inkjet printer
  • Scissors
  • T-shirt
  • Iron

Step 1: Print your design, following the instructions on the iron-on transfer, and cut it out with scissors.

Step 2: Place your design face down on the T-shirt.

Step 3: With your iron on the cotton heat setting, press firmly on the back of your design. Hold for about 30 to 40 seconds.

Step 4: Wait for the T-shirt to cool (about 2 minutes), then peel away the backing to reveal your design.
