Most Popular Days to Plan & Throw a Holiday Party
Evite also analyzed data from last year’s holiday season from October 1 to December 31, 2014, to determine the most popular days to plan and throw a holiday party. Overall, the most holiday parties were planned (invitations sent) on the Monday and Tuesday after Thanksgiving, December 1 and 2, 2014, during which 17,159 and 17,249 holiday event invitations were sent each day, respectively. In 2015, those prime planning days are expected to be Monday, November 30, and Tuesday, December 1, 2015.
The most holiday parties occurred on December 13 and December 20, 2014, the last two Saturdays before Christmas, in which 51,425 and 50,317 holiday parties were held, respectively. Looking ahead, the data suggests keeping the calendar open on Saturday, December 12, and Saturday, December 19, 2015, which are expected to be the largest party days of the year.
No New Year’s Eve Plans? No Problem!
When it comes to celebrating the New Year, the data shows that these parties are often planned at the last minute. In 2014, the highest number of invitations for New Year’s Eve parties were sent on December 27, just a few days before the big night.
Evite, which has sent over 2 billion event invitations in its history, based its findings on an analysis of the parties planned using Evite in 39 metro areas across the United States.
