Holiday Sleepover Movie Night Planning: What to Watch
Choose a favorite holiday classic, or opt for something light-hearted with an easy-to-follow plot so you can focus on what’s really important: spending quality time with your gal pals. Holiday Sleepover Movie Night Decorations: Make It Comfy
Set up your space in the room with the largest television or, for a more classic movie-watching experience, consider borrowing or renting a projector and screening your film on an empty white wall. Once you’ve found the perfect place for your projector, string twinkle lights in a large rectangle to create your own “screen.”
Clear the floor in front of your screen to maximize space. A couch can be confining for a large group — instead, set out a soft rug, bean bag chairs, cushions, blankets and plenty of pillows — bonus points if they’re in holiday colors. You can even make the party BYOP and have everyone bring their own pillow!
Keep movie night decorations simple with a Christmas tree, holiday wreath and a few ornaments scattered on the table.
Holiday Sleepover Movie Night: Movie Marathon Munchies
No movie marathon is complete without a concession stand of snacks. Set up a table to the side of your seating area so guests can access snacks throughout the show. Start with the classic movie munchies: popcorn, red licorice, chocolates and gummies.
For something more fancy — and festive — serve a spread of cheese and crackers and red wine sangria.
