Tala of Perfect Packages, the party stylist for this Oktoberfest birthday party, adores the annual beer festival held in Munich, Germany, especially the dirndls (wide, long skirts), lederhosen (leather breeches) and fun and games. After ordering a gingham dirndl online, she got to work designing party printables to match, picking games to play and choosing a German menu.
Says Tala: “As this was an adult party, I planned some silly games, where we’d be Dirndls (women) versus the Lederhosens (men). One game was Oktoberfest-inspired Pictionary; another game was trying to hammer a nail into a large block of wood — whoever did it the fastest was the winner. Beer was on tap all night and I served my guests bretzeln (pretzel), bratwurst, senf (mustard), cheese platters and various side dishes. I set up a delicious dessert buffet too, complete with German biscuits, dulce de leche cupcakes and apfelkuchen (apple pie).”
Prost (cheers) to your Oktoberfest party!
