This was a Sweet Sixteen birthday party for a very special teen. She told me she liked pink and black and Juicy Couture, so we took that and ran with it.
We decorated the 5-foot round tables with hot pink floor length linen and black satin toppers. For the centerpieces, we stacked hat boxes with Juicy Couture-style logos using Parker’s initials. We placed each centerpiece atop a glitzy mirror stand and covered the chairs with black chair covers and hot pink sashes tied in a corset fashion.
One of the main features of this Sweet 16 — a surprise to Parker — was the candy buffet. One of the focal points of the buffet was the giant black stiletto shoe prop. Some of the fun sweets featured in the buffet included lipstick chocolates displayed in Lucite lipstick holders, chocolate nail polish, gumball pearl bracelets hanging on a jewelry display, hat box containers filled with pink and black candy and purse-shaped favor bags for guests to fill with candy.
