Celebrate the Baby-to-Be with a DIY Gender Reveal Party Station

Every parent can agree – one of the most exciting parts about being pregnant is finding out the gender of your baby-to-be! Celebrate this momentous occasion with family and friends – and have some fun doing it – by hosting a gender reveal party, complete with this trendy and approachable DIY gender reveal party station. Watch the video below to learn how, brought to you by Evite in partnership with Pampers Swaddlers®.

Start by handcrafting the centerpiece of your party station – the DIY gender reveal confetti box. This how-to is not only a fun activity for expecting parents to tackle together but it’s made even easier by upcycling a box of Pampers Swaddlers® Diapers. Now there’s no need to spend time and money purchasing a store-bought box that may not even match your party’s theme or decor. And the personal touch for this precious moment is a memory that will be cherished by you, your partner and your family and friends. See the list of materials below and follow the step-by-step process to get started now.

DIY Gender Reveal Confetti Box:

Materials:

**Safety Warning: Please use caution while using or operating scissors and a utility knife.

Directions:

  1. Open a box of Pampers Swaddlers® and remove the diapers.
  2. Cut off the side tabs of the Pampers Swaddlers® box with scissors. TIP: This will help the confetti and balloons come out easier!
  3. Fill the box with pink or blue confetti and mini balloons.
  4. Using wrapping paper, wrap the box as you would a gift.
  5. Cut down the center of the box, through the wrapping paper, with a utility knife.
  6. Cut two small holes, about a 1/2 inch. from the center of the box, on each side.
  7. Cut two pieces of ribbon and tie each piece to each hole. Make sure to double knot the ribbon.
  8. Using clear tape, lightly tape the top back together. TIP: You just need a few pieces to hold the confetti and balloons in; too much tape and it won’t open!
  9. On the other side of the box, cut two holes to hang the box. String one pieces of ribbon through both of those holes to hang the box.
  10. Pull hard on the two hanging ribbons to release the confetti and reveal your surprise.

Of course, the celebration doesn’t stop there and you wouldn’t want it to on such a special day! Complete your gender reveal party by featuring a “Cast Your Vote” station where your guests can vote on what gender they think your little bundle of joy will be! This adorable activity is perfect for your family and friends who are anticipating the surprise reveal and it’s a fun way to add to your party space with some traditional and modern themes. Plus, you’re able to construct it using materials from around your house or your nearest craft store, thanks to incorporating Pampers® Swaddlers diapers as the ballot. See the list of materials below and follow the step-by-step process to get started now.
