This July 4th. show off your American spirit by creating a sophisticated, star-spangled tablescape. We (Archana and Kahnchana from Twinspirational) kicked off Evite®’s Crafting the Party IGTV series by showing you how to set up a chic July 4th tablescape, complete with a festive cupcake flag, patriotic mocktails, and whimsical florals and red, white and blue favors. And it was all inspired by Evite’s Star Spangled Premium Invitation!

Wave the Cupcake Flag: Dessert
Let’s start with dessert! Fourth of July desserts should be patriotic and show off your American pride. We created an adorable mini cupcake flag that doubles as table decor. You don’t have to be a pastry chef to bake cupcakes from scratch. We purchased mini cupcake liners in red, white and blue and baked our favorite lemon cupcakes. (But if you want to skip the baking all together, just purchase 40 mini muffins.) Next, arrange the mini cupcakes into an American flag. Pipe blue frosting on the 9 cupcakes on the top left corner. Then pipe the red and white frosting in alternative rows, as seen below.

Cheers to Independence Day: Drinks
Next, the sips! Every July 4th party deserves a specialty drink to properly toast to Independence Day. We paired fresh lemonade with fresh raspberries and blueberries to create a refreshing berry lemonade! If you are short on time, you can always start with store-bought organic lemonade. You can also transform the mocktail into a cocktail with a little vodka. Cheers!

Set Up Star-Spangled Sights: Tablescape
Chic Independence Day tablescapes should strategically incorporate red, white and blue elements as well as a few flags and stars. We created our star-spangled tablescape with a red gingham table throw, navy melamine plates, red gingham cloth napkins, sterling silverware and stemless glasses. Then, we added some festive watercolor flag place cards to each place setting.
Every July 4th tablescape needs some patriotic florals. We added a bouquet of white hydrangeas and red gerbera daisies in a blue vase, then added a bouquet of white hydrangeas with 2 burlap American flags on each side of the centerpiece.

Snack on Red, White and Blue Stars: Party Favors
Complete your tablescape with small take home gifts. Party favors are an easy way to thank your guests and make them feel special. We created festive red, white and blue chocolate stars using a silicone candy mold. Make sure to use high quality chocolate melts because the quality of the chocolate determines how tasty your chocolate favors will be. Melt, mold, freeze and repeat. So easy! Then place them into a treat bag, tie with a twisty, then set it up with a name card for the final touch on your tablescape.
