Fire Up the Grill with these Summer BBQ Bites

Nothing says summer like BBQ-ing! Try these 3 super simple, by-the-grill BBQ bites for your next summer bash. Avocado & Pesto Flatbread (Serves 8)
 
Ingredients:
Directions:
1. Oil grill to create a non-stick surface.
2. Cut pizza dough into 6 smaller sections and lay onto medium to high heated grill. 5-7 mins.
3. While dough cooks add tomato halves and sliced onions to grill. Salt and pepper. Grill until softened and slightly charred. 10-15 mins.
4. Flip and add pesto and mozzarella letting the cheese melt as the other side cooks. 5-7 mins.
5. Remove from grill. Add cooked tomatoes and onions, fresh cubed avocado and coarsely chopped cilantro.
6. Slice into appetizer-sized sections and serve!

 

Cheeseburger & Veggie Skewers (Serves 8)

 

Ingredients:
Directions:
1. Skewer prep the veggies (slice into thick pieces).
2.  Create small burger patties with 2 tbsp of ground beef. Generously salt and pepper both sides.
3. Add cheddar to center of patties and round into meat balls.
4. Grill for 5-7 mins on medium to high heat on each side. Remove from grill. The sides of the patties will still be red and will be fully cooked later on the skewer.
5. Skewer the cheeseburger patties and veggies. Place back on grill for 8 -10 more mins (rotating every 2 mins), or until patties are fully cooked and veggies are charred.
6. Serve and enjoy!

 

Honey Glazed Grilled Pears (Serves 8)
 
Ingredients:
Directions:
1. Halve and spoon out center of pears.
2. Drizzle halved sides generously with honey and sugar.
3. Place pears face down on medium to high heat and grill for 5-7 mins, or until honey and sugar is caramelized.
4. Remove from heat and let cool.
5. Add scoop of vanilla ice cream. Top with remaining honey and chopped walnuts. Serve and enjoy!
