I remember Wonder Woman as a child so I was super excited to help with this event! Shelby, the birthday girl, has a love of all things Wonder Woman. One of my favorite party elements was the Wonder Woman candy and trinket buffet. The buffet’s backdrop consisted of the iconic Wonder Woman logo displayed against lots of Wonder Woman comic book covers. I used modern silver vessels to hold all of the candy and trinkets, and superhero boots were anchored at each end of the buffet.
The candy included “Wonder Woman lips” (chocolate lips wrapped in red foil), “Wonder Woman golden lassos” (yellow Twizzlers tied in a knot), Hot Tamales, Pop Rocks, lemon drops, bubble gum, gourmet popcorn, lollipops and more. The trinkets included superhero puzzles, superhero flying shooters, Wonder Woman toy jets and tops. There were Jelly Belly carbonated drinks in red, blue and yellow!
The featured activity was a superhero craft station. The children were able to design a Wonder Woman tiara or superhero masks with colorful buttons, jewels, ribbons, stickers and pompoms. And we customized the favor bags with a label that said, “Thanks for coming…. You’re a superfriend.”

Bundle up and celebrate the season with a winter block party! Get neighbors together to meet, eat, play in the snow (or warm up inside) for a fun twist on the usual summertime event.
Designate one house as the block party HQ, including a registration booth where you can hand out name tags (such as these buttons) and provide a sign-in sheet for contact info. After the party, email everyone a neighborhood directory to help keep connections going.
Assign each participating home a specific part of the meal (appetizers, main dishes, desserts, drinks), or focus the eats and festivities in one location. Depending on the weather, you can set out food in your yard or keep it indoors.
Baby, it’s cold outside, so a hearty hot dish such as chili (we used Hormel to make it extra easy) is a crowd pleaser — and affordable too. Cornbread, crackers and bread bowls make yummy accompaniments.
To make bread bowls, cut the tops off mini loaves, hollow them out and replace the tops. If you have a waterproof finish on your table, label dishes with little aluminum buckets filled with snow (or artificial instant snow powder, available online).
Outside, a hot chocolate bar beckons. Mini marshmallow and crushed peppermint toppings make it special.
Warm up to new friends around a cozy outdoor fire pit. Provide s’mores fixings for a nostalgic treat kids and adults alike will love.
Offer planned activities to help guests break the ice. Here, neighbors gather around the fire to roast marshmallows.
More ideas for frosty-weather fun for all ages: Set up a sledding run, hold a snowman or snow-castle building contest, host a talent show, and/or designate an area indoors for playing board games, cards or chess.

I say you can never have too many wreaths — especially when they’re so versatile! I came up with the idea for this spring moss DIY wreath while decorating for St. Patrick’s Day. I love the natural, rustic, simple feel it has. It’s the perfect way to welcome spring. Plus, it’s suitable for almost any gathering – brunch, crafting parties with friends, even Easter. To customize the wreath for your own special occasion, just add embellishments or a simple ribbon. Happy crafting!
Materials:
Step 1: Cut moss into strips that are big enough to wrap around your wreath.
Step 2: Wrap and tuck the strips of moss within the vines to cover the top of the wreath.
Step 3: Add ribbon or embellishments to your liking.

Impress your guests and quench their thirst with this summer’s biggest drink trend — beverage bars. Think customize-your-own mimosa bars, sangria bars, martini bars … if you can mix a drink, you can create a mix-your-own bar for it!
We love the beverage bar trend, and thanks to ONEHOPE Wine’s new mimosa bar set, it’s almost effortless to set up a gorgeous one like this. You get everything from the sparkling wine to the straws — all you have to do is add juice and fruit so everyone can custom-mix and -muddle their own blends:
Let everyone create their own signature beverage at your next brunch, shower, anniversary party, or girls’ night. You can even add sparkling water for a nonalcoholic option and use the set again and again for all kinds of parties. And best of all, half of the profits from the sale of the mimosa bar set go to the United Nations World Food Program USA, a humanitarian agency committed to ending childhood hunger. Cheers!

Champagne wishes really can come true if you have the right tips on buying bubbly. There’s one just right for every taste, price range and celebration, so read on and prepare to raise a glass as we cover colors, levels of sweetness and types of sparkling wines and Champagnes.
COLORS/GRAPES
Color doesn’t just affect how Champagne looks in a glass — it also affects how it tastes.
SWEETNESS
Sugar is usually added to sparkling wine during production, but the amount varies considerably. Fortunately, the label tells you how dry (that is, tart) or sweet the bubbly is. Here are the three most popular types, from driest to sweetest, along with what they’re best for:
There are also a few others that aren’t quite as common, but if you come across the below terms on a label, here’s what they mean:
TYPES OF CHAMPAGNE & SPARKLING WINES
Best for cocktails or an informal get-together:
Mixing Champagne cocktails, watching your spending, and/or serving a crowd? Look for these words on the label to search out inexpensive to moderately priced options.
Best for a formal event:
Ranging from moderately priced to very expensive, these sparkling wines are perfect for a fancy dinner party or black-tie gala.
Best for a milestone occasion:
For momentous celebrations, splurge on the very best — and most expensive.

Easter + feast = Feaster! Get friends and family together this Easter for fun and a meal to remember.
First, set up your own movable feast in the backyard to take advantage of the spring sunshine.
Mismatched china and thrift-store juice glasses make for a charming place setting. Bon appétit!
Feast your eyes on these showstopper desserts. Gorgeous as they are, they’re easy to re-create: Just purchase pastries and a cake from a local bakery and garnish with fresh blooms. Choose pansies, roses, lilac or other edible flowers you’ve grown yourself or bought at a farmer’s market to ensure they’re free from pesticides and safe to eat.
Create a crafting center where adults can help kids decorate our bunny ear printable. Colored glitter, faux flowers, fabric and washi tape are unexpected embellishments. Don’t forget the glue sticks!
In lieu of (or in addition to!) the traditional Easter egg hunt, plan an Easter egg roll, White House lawn-style. Gussy up wooden spoons with bands of washi tape, available in craft stores. Once the egg roll is over, just take the tape off the spoons and return them to the kitchen drawer.
Paint wooden placards available at craft stores with “Start” and “Finish” and attach each to a 1×1″ piece of wood to create a signpost.
To play, simply have kids use spoons to roll hard-boiled eggs toward the finish line; first one to cross it wins!
For favors, celebrate spring by giving each guest a mini gardening kit, including pots, gardening gloves, pots and/or a trowel.
Happy Feaster!
